Easter is one of my favorite holidays. I think I love it so much because the weather is getting warmer, the days are longer, everything about it is pastel and pretty and you become surrounded by candy.
This year we hosted Easter dinner. None of my guests were vegetarian much less vegan so I was a little worried. My sister gets really annoyed when it’s her turn to host holidays since my family has become full-fledged vegans. She usually has a few choice comments for us. (“I hate cooking for you damn vegans – you don’t eat anything!”) She’s (half) kidding, of course, and always goes out of her way to accommodate us. This Easter we thought it would be fun to take a traditional meal and make vegan and regular versions. It was so much easier than I thought it would be and we had fun cooking together.
